For homeowners

Read this.

You didn't choose us. Your utility company did. That's normal — it's how the reinstatement side of utility work has been done for years. Here's what to expect.

Finished reinstatement
01

The utility company raises the job

After their crew has done the underground work and backfilled, they send us a reinstatement instruction with your address and reference number.

02

We call to book you in

You'll hear from us within a few working days. We agree a date and rough time window that suits you — not the other way around.

03

We turn up

Marked van, ID on hand, tools ready. We introduce ourselves, walk you through what we're about to do, and get on with it.

04

The work is completed

Depending on the size of the excavation, most jobs take half a day to a full day. We tidy up, sweep, and leave the drive walkable.

05

You get the guarantee — not a bill

The utility company pays us. You get a signed 2-year guarantee, our contact details, and (hopefully) a driveway you can't tell was ever dug up.

Common questions

Q

Do I pay you anything?

No. The utility or energy company that instructed us pays the bill. You should never receive an invoice from us on a utility-raised job.

Q

Do I need to be home?

Ideally yes at the start and end, so we can walk you through the work. If you can't, we can arrange access and update you by phone.

Q

How long does it take?

Most patch reinstatements are half a day to a full day. Larger areas or awkward access may take longer — we'll tell you in advance.

Q

What if I'm not happy with the finish?

Tell us on the day. We're not leaving site if you're not satisfied. And if something develops later, that's what the 2-year guarantee is for.
